Wedding Week 6: Woman at the Well and Shavuot Imagery [M]

Dr. Diana Dye finds that the Book of John follows a pattern of Israel's annual festivals. Chapter four is the story of the woman at the well, which portrays powerful imagery of Shavuot. With two loaves of unleavened bread, Shavuot is the time of coming together as one, which also portrays wedding imagery. Dr. Dye encourages us to take the foundation she has offered in her 6-part series on the wedding week in the Book of John to explore the other festivals: Rosh HaShanah (chapter 5), Passover (chapter 6), Sukkot (chapters 7-9), Hannukah (chapter 10), Passover (chapters 12-21).
